Robochess, o parceiro perfeito para o xadrez

Não é novidade o uso de inteligência artificial em partidas de xadrez – Kasparov que o diga. Porém o Robochess têm a capacidade de interagir com o tabuleiro, tornando assim o jogo muito mais real. O sistema foi desenvolvido por Ira Ebrahim Jahandar, estudante de engenharia elétrica da Universidade de Isfahan, no Irã.

Da forma como Jahandar criou, o sistema robótico é acoplado ao tabuleiro, e dessa forma não sendo possível migrá-lo para outro. É possível programar seu nível de dificuldade para pode fornecer um jogo justo para o adversário.

Apesar da aparência rústica e simples, o trabalho empregado no projeto foi grande. O código foi escrito em C, com mais de 6,5 mil linhas ao todo. As peças são feitas com o imã, pois assim fica mais fácil para o robô controlá-las. Além disso, o Robochess tem um visor LCD que mostra cada um dos movimentos realizados. O sistema é composta por dois painéis – um é o painel de controle e o outro de comandos.
